Hello;
I had an apicoectomy from an endontist, who removed a rather large section of infected tissue from under my #19 molar. After the surgery, he indicated that a bone graft would be required to repair the damaged jaw area. In fact, when i questioned him, he insisted that it would most probably be necessary.
A week later, when I went in to get my stitches removed, he checked the area, and then said that a bone graft would not be required.
I'm not sure if maybe I'm being paranoid, however, it struck me as odd that there would be such a sudden reversal in treatment. Is it unusual to suddenly not need one, where the initial diagnosis was to get one done?
