Not to sound like a curmudgeon, but it didn't help my IBS a whit. It DID help in other ways that are too numerous to count and I would definitely encourage anyone with anxiety to pursue this avenue. But as for IBS symptoms, I actually found it more frustrating because my therapist (whom I adore!) never fully understood this condition.

Hi there,

Ive had IBS for nearly 9 years now and Ive found that relaxation is the best thing for relieving the symptoms so perhaps speaking with a councellor may help although I also agree that depending what the councellor is an expert in may not help with IBS at all. I think people need to understand it to help. Good luck
