I am switching to Yaz again after being on Lybrel for a month, but I was thinking about getting Implanon. Can anyone give me any feedback on this birth control. The thing I am most worried about is weight gain.

Pluses: You don't have to remember to take it.

Negatives: It's not comfortable to have it taken out/changed, especially if you get it implanted and then decide you don't like it. It's known to cause more breakthrough bleeding in some women as well. It's got higher levels of hormones, so if you're ok with that you're probably a good candidate for it. (It's likely to make you moody and/or depressed if you are prone to that.) Some women do experience significant weight gain with it, so if that's really important to you it might not be a viable option.
