i've been having what feels like one eally strong, one REALLY disgusting feeling heartbeat, sometimes in clusters several seconds appart. i've had a holter monitor and bloodwork, seems ok all they said were 2 extra beats in, but im not sure when they were, im going for a follow up with my doc latter. i've reduced my stress, and even took a vacation and started eating better, and for the last coupple weeks i've been fine. but just about 20 minutes ago i had about half a dozen of them in about 2 minutes and that's gotten me worried again. it seems changeing position in my chair or bed helps, and maybe pressure related in my chest. all i can describe it, as it feels really wrong, like a fish takes a single thrash in my chest that spreads even to my neck for a single instant, and sometimes a few seconds latter a second or third.

what would this be? and shuld i be worried?

Definitely sounds like a PVC to me! (Premature ventricular complex) PVCs usually aren't anything to worry about unless you have underlying heart issues or having a huge amount of them daily, like more than %15 of your heartbeats are PVCs. You said you've already seen your doctor concerning this, is that right? If so, and he feels it's nothing to worry about, then it probably isn't. Definitely check with him about it though, if for no other reason than piece of mind! I had PVCs my entire life up until a few weeks ago so I know the feeling way too well and while they can feel really disturbing, they really aren't usually that big of a deal. Good luck!!

Hi, I too have ectopic heartbeats had them for about 5yrs all day every day almost every 6 beats they pop in, tried allsorts to rid them so far nothing found not even medication, they seem to be worse when I am stressed. I know what you mean by pressure related in your chest but I really dont think any position causes/helps all I know is docs say they do not cause any harm to your heart so I take that as gospel, I am looking for a 'cure' having checked every health board going so far nothing found but will keep you informed just try to ignor them and dont feel too despondent when they return, docs said they could go as quickly as they came, docs say it was coming straight off beta blockers that started mine cos I had asthma keep happy:)
