Hello Alexandra.

All the antibody tests are accurate at 3 months.

At 6 weeks, you can take a fourth-generation antigen/antibody test (the Vidas HIV DUO for instance). They are said to be accurate and definitive at this time frame by many doctors, and by the Sydsex organisation in Sidney. They are not much more expensive than the standard tests.

You can do a search in a search engine, I cannot point to sources here.

If you cannot wait, please consider some anti-anxiety medication. GP or psychiatrists can prescribe them (psychiatrists are better, they should know well what will work for you). Do not test before 6 weeks: it does not help.

Good luck.
