I was seen by a eye Dr. yesterday and told that i have 4 nerve palsy. One of the diseases that can come of this is MG. I have been having muscle weakness for the past year and SOB but has always thought it was due to Thyroid probs. I have been told By Endo that this is not Thyroid related. Last Sat i was having breathing problems, a tight band feeling around my ribs, lt. side of face went numb, lt arm went numb, could not speak, i understood people but could not talk. I could not get my arms to move it was like i froze! This lasted for 1 hr and a half. They did a MRI no stroke. I am still having symptoms. Tightness around my throat, anterior neck muscles a feeling of globus or phlegm constantly in my throat, mild dizziness
mild shortness of breath on occassion general fatigue. I can not walk for more than 10 min with out having extreme muscle fatigue. I walk like lead weights are on my legs. It does get worse as the day goes on.
Has anyone heard of 4 nerve palsy (it is where one eye floats upward when looking on direction) causing MG or a symptom of MG. I have had this eye weakness all my life. The eye dr said that this was all linked together. I do not have double vision at all, just a feeling of tired eyes all the time.
