i have a concern and i hope someone can help me. i have been taking antibiotics for a few days now and last night i had sex (i am on the pill). this morning i noticed on my medication bottle that the augmenten may interfere with the effectiveness of my birthcontrol pill. i didnt read the information on the bottle until it was too late, i know i should always read the bottle but i have taken the medication several times and never remember reading about that on the label. so does anyone have any knowledge on this subject? does it matter what birth control i am on? i am taking Previfem (generic for ortho tricyclen).

Did you use a condom? If not, I'd go to the doc, and make sure... I know plenty of people who got pregnant on the pill. It's not completely errorproof, and taking antibiotics with it is definitely an "error" of use.
