About a year ago I made the mistake of sleeping with a intervanous drug user

The sex was protected but my penis slipped out of the condom the last maybe 3-5 mins
She was a woman I am a man.

What are my odds if she was indeed, hiv pos ? im going to get tested today but i just need to know

no,not really,i had sex a few times in a night unprotected with my gf and i got infected by her.when i got infected i became ill to the point of almost dieing as i contracted spinal menengitious at the same time as i got the hiv. i had no idea she was positive(i had been with her a yr before it happened,it was the first time i went unprotected with her and i got it.)


the odds i gave were from female to male transmission with the female partner who is infected,the thing is your odds are much greater then that because you do not know if your partner is infected to begin with.
hiv if you can believe is a sort of hard thing to catch,some people will go years with an infected partner and never get it or they can be like me and get it in 1 night. it is transfered from blood to blood only as you have sex there becomes microscopic tears in the skin between the partners and thats how it is passed.

Is there even better odds since of the condom slippage?

you really can't pinpoint the odds
as the virus effects every person in a different way
thats why you can't go by any symptoms
the only sure foolproof to know way is by testing.
in the year or so i've been here,i have only seen a couple of people who got it from the hundreds that were convinced they had it untill they got tested.
if i were to guess, you should be fine as the odds of transmission are very low for you and you don't even know if your partner even has it or not, plus your contact was sort of limited in time instead of being prolonged.

the thing is you only have to be that one.. i was
thats why you should always play safe unless you know that you and your partners status by testing.
the sooner you get tested the sooner you will be past all this
