Hi, I went to bed last night and I got the dreaded period. I was 3 days late, so I was quite bummed. This is my 4th period since getting off of the pill in Dec 2007.

I am 33 years old. How long should my husband and I keep trying before I see a Doc?

Any thoughts, experience, advise appreciated!

Rule of thumb is under the age of 35 then you should be ttc for a year, over the age of 35 then 6 months of ttc before seeing a dr.
Read the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility as it is basically the TTC bible.
Remember to keep it light and have fun because stressing and making it a chore not only hinders your chances it also hurts your relationship with your dh.

If you have concerns, there is nothing wrong with seeing a doctor. You could always have a physical or pre-pregnancy check-up. The worst the doctor will say is to come back in a few months.
