I'm sorry to keep bothering everyone with all these questions about viral load. After asking about my wifes now I am confused about my own. The test my gastro did on 10/22/01 said the following:

Hepatitis C Viral RNA, Quantitative PCR

HCV RNA, PCR, QUANT 1000000 COPIES/ML 1000

HCV RNA, PCR, QUANT 600000 IU/ML 600

SO ? What is my viral load ? I thought they told me a million copies but after your answers on my wifes & looking at her lab work my numbers look higher than hers & I was told that hers were 1.2 million copies ( I'm totally confused but am trying to explain it to my wife.

Hers again were as follows:

HCV RNA, QUANTITATIVE REAL TIME PCR 3321000 COPIES/ML

HCV RNA, QUANTITATIVE REAL TIME PCR 1230000 IU/ML

Thanks in advance for you replys & your prayers.

Howdy DRSLMD-
Hiya Bud, hope things are looking up,
If I am reading these correctly it reads the first-
#1 - 1000000 -thats one million
The second which is much better at-
#2 - 600000 - thats six hundred thousand, much better.
-there are two different measures of readings there.
and the wifes second [ damn and sorry to hear that too] is
#2 - 1230000 - thats one million, two hundred,thirty thousand,which is the second reading

which both are not high compared to some here at 15 million or higher.

will be getting a hold of you, at your website.
