Anyone out there with me? Why oh Why are insurance companies a necessary evil? I know, I know---I shouldn't whine at least I have it right?...well, I don't feel lucky right now.
Took Gerry's new months perscrip to Target. The Peg-Intron is going to be $370.00 NOT $25.00 like she thought. The Rebetrol will be $25.00(whooopy). That's $400.00 per month plus the extra $20.00 per month for doctor visits. Then we found out we have to pay for blood work--a little less than half. Last 2 blood tests will be $320.00. So we're looking at $160.00 per month for blood work.
It's very upsetting because I did my taxes (another peeve) and couldn't even deduct our medical because we have to have $5,000.00 or better in order to deduct ANY of it in the first place. We'll probably juuust---abouuuut make it to the $5,000.00, so in other words we're screwed......geeeeessssh!
I HATE BLUE CROSS--I HATE BLUE CROSS--I HATE BLUE CROSS!!!!!! and believe it or not...that's an HMO not the PPO we gave up January 2002. I'm soooo sorry we were ever talked into going with an HMO---the insurance guy was soooo convincing and actually lied. Hubby isn't too happy about it, especially since he has to see this insurance guy about twice per month at work.
Whew...thanks for letting me whine...I needed that!!!
