i know this a dumb question , well two questions

1- Is there anyway possible to give yourself HIV , in Nov-07 i tasted my own pre-cum and i think i had a cut in my mouth, i would really appreciate any response , i know it's a dumb question for most but i am really nervous, ok question 2

i am going to the Dr. next week , might have HPV, so if by chance i do have HPV, would that affect my HIV tests , i tested Negitive in Sept-07 and in Dec-07, last time i had unprotected sex well any kind of sex was in June of 07, well besides tasting my own pre-cum , which is freaking me out , i know this might not be a question for here but i will ask you never know , well if i do have that HPV and i did taste my own pre-cum , is it possible that i can get that HPV throat cancer in that way , well any responses would be really appreaciated and like i said i know these are probably dumb questions but not for me , thank you for reading , please respond

thank you very much smiteler, i know these were some wierd question , but i did go to the cdc website and i couldn't find where you can't give it to yourself i seen how ways you can get it and ways you can't get it but my situation wasn't there, i was gonna e-mail the cdc but there are two e-mails and wasn't sure if those e-mail addresses were for questions like this, and i have been reading these boards for a few days before i got the nerve to send a question , dumb as it was but you'll never know if you never ask , but i did notice you reply alot to people and i really respect what your doing and all the other peple are doing here, and the reason i asked about if HPV would affect my HIV tests is cause i seen where if you have Leukimia or other diseaes it will take HIV longer to show up , is that true but thank you for your response , i was getting nervous cause they were dumb question noone was talking me seriously, which i guess is understandable but anyway thank you so much for answeing my question and i will keep everyone of you in my prayers GOD Bless Everyone

well think of it this way with simple logic
first off
to get it, you need to be infected by someone who has it.thats a concrete fact.

if you don't have it, how can you give it to yourself?
with the fact above its impossible.you need to have it first!
it is passed from person to person
it was believed first contracted from humans eating tainted monkey meat
so if thats not in your diet,there is no chance of it ever happening that way.


and if you already have it,its too late not to get it from yourself.

on the 2nd part, an hpv test or infection will have nothing to do with effecting an hiv test
as far as i know.
the things that will effect a test are rare cases with people that have very compromised immune systems,cancer,certian chemo drugs,transfusion patients.
the hiv tests get more accurate as time goes on
i know now that the clinic i was at was bragging a few months ago that thier lab
can find it in as little as 23 days,(they couldn't say that last year!)now this lab is probably one of the best in the country as they are at the forfront of many researches but i'm sure as they improve, it will help all the other labs to improve also.
the tests are very accurate so when you get your results you can believe in them.
false tests do happen but they are very few and far between..
