For those of you following...verrrrrrry interesting dahlings:

Gerry came home and said he had a rough day. Mostly he said his feet were tingling. He said the bottoms. Says this is kind of what happened the last time his ankle started hurting. He said "I know I'm being a whimp but I'm worried it will lead to the ankle thing again." He said that he felt more tired today and little upset tummy. He said nothing to get annoyed about. His head is also very itchy and driving him nuts.

I said "Honey, prop your feet up and sit" Did he...NO. He stood up, tinkered in the garage, unpacked my daughters motorcycle, repacked it into the truck, drove it to my BIL house and then packed it onto the trailer. Then he piddled with my buggy lights for 1 hour, then repacked OUR trailer. He's bound-and-determined to go on this trip.

Anyhow by the time bedtime came around he was ready for his ice cream and said he felt a little better. He said the feet weren't as tingly. He did toss and turn again all night. I'm seriously considering asking the doctor for a mild sleeping sedative(I'm a light sleeper and he's keeping me awake---last night was 2am), if for no other reason than to help ME sleep. What do you all suggest? Maybe 1/2 of an Ambien?

So what it amounts to is.......the sides ARE there but still tolerable.

Boy Susan, you have your hands full with your hubby. He is going on this trip no matter what it seems. He probably feels like he will ruin everyones fun if he doesn't go and the rest of the family cancels their plans because of it. Maybe if everyone would still go he won't feel so responsible??? Just a thought. That's alot of pressure to put on him.

As to the tingley feet, we had a gastro MD speak at our support group and he said that peripheral neuropathy was a symtom of HCV but your hubby's symtoms sound like they are chemo induced.

Have you tried Niacin shampoo and scalp treatment for the itchy head? It will also slow down the hair loss that results from interferon therapy. I bought mine at the salon in Walmart; in a kit with the shampoo, conditioner, and scalp treatment. It might help and worth a shot. Its tingles at first so tell him not to panic!

My Pegasys came this morning Federal Express (I guess they knew they goofed). So I will begin this Friday, Good Friday! Not bad odds!

DD-
I think that it will be good for
"lucky" there,to go regardless, it will keep his mind off the sides, and of course on the other hand, he can overdo himself [and ypourself]
, I am a quick learner, only took me six or seven times to over do myself and for it to
sink in. he he,

There is a product called sleep-ease,it can be given over the counter, its a light serditive, thats lets
you
sleep, and wake up refreshed with no brain fog, [well at least if you are not on treatment, for the brain fog]

Again talk to the Doc or Pharmisist before taking any drugs, while on treatment or not.

May your family have a blast with negative situations, have a great time,

Also tell "lucky" not to be afraid to take a tylenol when he is feeling poorly,it really helps, when needed.

Tanks for the update-
