View Full Version : NEW RESEARCH / TREATMENT HOPE

DOCTORSLETMEDOWN

I read an article in the Dallas paper saying drugs could undo hepatitis c damage.
I'm not sure if it's ok to mention where the study was done but you would know them well & they are reputable.
They were able to restore IRF-3 by using protease inhibitors.
The hepatitis C virus was unable to take over. The cell's immune system was resurrected, and
the virus vanished.
The article said they found something else that may give them a handle on getting rid of this virus

Don't know if this will be okay to say, but the article doctorsletmedown is referring to was just published by Reuters yesterday, 4/17/03 and is extremely exciting news. You can find the article in the Medline Plus Health Information, which is a service by the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.

The Article by Reuters is entitled, "Experimental Drugs Block Hepatitis C Virus." The research information that was reported here is a breakthrough in science that they say may not only lead to cures for HCV, but for HIV and herpes, too.

It's a great news piece. Very encouraging, indeed.

Thanks for pointing this out .....

Keep your spirits and attitude HIGH!

Diane
