hi, i am a 16 year old male. this past september i got hepatitis, i play high school football and i had to sit out the whole season because i was not aloud to exercise from sept to the end of december. well my stomach has been ok except for the fact that its sensative. well 3 days ago my friend playing around hit me in the stomach but not hard at all. i fell on the floor in pain and it felt like i was kicked hard in the you now where (guys know what this feels like)and my whole body hury. so im worried because spring football is next week and imagine a helmet to the stomach. so im scared thatsomething worse can happen. if u know what may hapen or why my stomach is like this can you please help. i really love football and hate the fact that i may never play again.
thank you

Hi Sno,
Sounds like you had Hep A, which hits you in the stomach....basically like the flu but much worse.
See a doctor, have them run more tests. Perhaps you need a specialist at this point.

Hi Sno,
Something is definitely up here and you need to talk to your parent(s).
There is no way we can tell you very much from the internet. No one here is a doctor or a nurse.
I am a Mom of an athlete, though. He plays university baseball and he is heading to the pros (if he is lucky)
I'll tell you what I have always told him. Your healthy body is the most important sports equipment you have. Keep it in good shape and it will reward you with good performance. Neglect it, and you will burn out early. It doesn't pay to play now and burn yourself out. If you have any future with football, take care of business as it comes up. You may sit out a bit of the season, or you may not. What you will do is prevent real problems down the line, healthwise and football-wise.
best thoughts, Sno
