I've not been to the forum in a while. In fact, have been doing so well w/the Forteo (am into my 3rd year) that I've been concentrating on CPAP therapy for obstructive sleep apnea. Yup, I've developed that too thru the years. I was just switched to a bi-level. Started w/a straight CPAP, switched to an autoPAP and now the doctor has switched me to a bi-level. So far doing good.
But back to Bonista. Anyone know much about it? Just saw several news releases for it today. It was developed in India by an Indian firm and it appears to be, from the little information provided about the drug itself, that it is a form of recombinant teraperitide (sp?) and a competitor for Forteo. I was just curious the differences between the two.
I'm also wondering how those who have purchased any of the vibration therapy products are doing w/them. I was so tempted to try one of them but got side-tracked w/other financial expenditures.

Hi Crohnie Too,
It's nice to see you again. I wondered how you were doing with your Forteo since my husband is now in his third month of taking it. Glad to see you are happy with your results. What were your beginning T-scores and where are you now?
I saw the alert on Bonista this morning too, and I don't know any more than you do. It's a generic form of teriperitide, but I don't think it can be sold in the US until Forteo's patent expires in 2018.
Glad you're seeing results from your CPAP therapy. What were your symptoms? I ask because sometimes I'd wake up and my husband isn't breathing: then he'd snort in a lungful of air. It isn't really like snoring though. Is that what your sleep apnea is like?
