Okay so this past tuesday i started feeling fatigued and light headed and had a fever coming on. Throughout the day i started getting weaker and weaker and then got teh chills really bad. I slept from 9pm tuesday night til 5pm wednesday only waking up twice to get a glass of water cuz my mouth was so dry. Wednesday and Thursday was pretty much the same except the sore throat got worse and my fever was about 102.5 when i tested it at home. I then went to the doctor thursday and my temp was 100.7 and they tested me for strep and it came back negative. They prescribe me a pill that makes my fever go down and also this orange nasty stuff that numbs my throat so i can swallow better. Last night i was feeling better and my fever dropped to 97.7 at home. I tested it again this morning and it was 100.4 so im thinking the pill was a temporary fever reducer or it was the warm salt water still lingering in my mouth since i rinsed about 35 mins before i took my temp.
I have been sweating profusely the past few nights and my chills havent returned since wednesday night so is there still a possibility i have mono or i just some crazy virus.
ps.. it also wasnt the flu they said and they said my spleen showed no signs of abnormality which is a sign of mono.

If your spleen was normal that is a good sign that it isn't mono. Your spleen is usually very swollen when you have mono. If you do think you have mono, go back and have a bllod test run to check. but my guess is that you are just lucky enough to have picked up whatever bug is out there at the moment and need to ride it out until you get rid of it.

For mono, yes. The doc would have already been able to feel the enlargement. The spleen seems to swell right away when you get mono.

so i went back to the doctor and now I have these ulcers all in the back of my throat making it so hard to swallow as well as some on my gums and tongue...the doctor kept asking me about my sexual life so it got me scared he was talkin about an std?
He then said I might have hand foot and mouth disease....

I don't think you have hand foot and mouth disease unless you also have a rash on the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet. According to the Center for Disease Control's website, the rash does not itch but accompanies the sores in the mouth and throat. I have had mono a couple of times in my life and I remember being extremely fatigued for about a week, fever, sore throat and their were some knots on the back of my neck. I guess they were swollen lymph glands. A simple blood test looking for the Epstein Barr virus will help to confirm if it is mono or not. If your doctor was thinking about a STD, Syphilis symptoms include rash, fever, sore throat, and sores in the mouth. (coolnurse.com) But I agree with ibake&pray's comment, there are some pretty mean bugs going around and it might just be that. If you're not better soon, you should back to the doctor.
