View Full Version : Peg-Intron/Riba Shot #6---Day 6

Just a little update:

Gerry noticed that the itchy nose started earlier this time. It usually waits until Monday or Tuesday. I think it may have been the windy, cold weather he was exposed to but he says it's subsiding as of yesterday. I had him put some neosporin around his nose hole all weekend AND put the Aveeno lotion on the outside, I think that helped, if nothing else then he didn't want to touch it because it was "icked up."

Yesterday (Wednesday) he came home and said he was really worn out. He said he just feels really tired yet can still move around without getting out of breath. He said it's like he's not improving by the "Wednesday deadline" as he likes to call it. Usually by Wednesdays he's starting to feel a bit better (of course, only to have the shot on Fridays).

The kids and I were going up to practice baseball and he insisted on coming. We placed him as pitcher and he got a little too motivated and started playing homeplate...he came home after 1-1/2 hours and just layed on the floor. He watched a dumb show with the kids, had ice cream and went to bed about 10pm. I think he overdid it OR...maybe his bloodwork is not good afterall, hmmmmmmmmmmm???

Good thing that came out of it.....he slept ALL NIGHT....yahoooooooooooooooo!

Suzy-
Hang in there, around shot six, is when the body is really trying to adapt to the treatment, and the treatment compounds its levels at this stage, most feel the most symtoms here, as with the breathing because of the Anemia from the Ribo, it Will level off and improve,[fingers crossed]

Tell "lucky" its just a pain in the butt like a wif--ahhh -I mean- bad cold, ya thats it a bad cold, that does not go away, so you learn to live with them, even though the cold just keeps nagging and nagging- he he
