I assume from your post you are recovering very well. I joined the NGB Club (no gallbladder) yesterday. Instead of the 3 or 4 little incisions one of them at the navel is 3" long. The gallbladder was so large, loaded with gallstones and sludge it would not pull out thru the regular size incission.
The surgeon also repaired a navel hernia caused by stretchers during exploratory surgery in 1999.
I am looking forward to the pain going away before too long. However, it has not been as bad as I was led to believe. Certainly not as easy as some said. My recliner is my best friend even tho someone has to help position it since I cannot pull or tug on the handle to elevate the legs. Hubby is at my beck and call!!
Hope you continue to recover at a speedy rate! Will keep you in my prayers.
