hi people,
some of you have probabley read my posts before and im under investigation for chrons disease as doctors arre pretty sure i have it. In about a week im due to go and have the pill camera capsule test. I was just wondering if you had to have a prep with the test? its my worse fear to do the prep again!! as ive had two colonoscopy in the past year the first time they lost my results and second time they couldnt see anything and i had a very hard time drinking the stuff. please reply i need to no thanks

I haven't had it done but from what I've read some patients have to have a prep or half prep & others don't. I hope you don't. I'm dreading the prep for the colonoscopy so much I get sick thinking about it. good luck to you!

They now have pills that you can take instead of drinking the nasty stuff for colon prep. I recently had a colonoscopy and took pills called Osmoprep. There were 32 pills. I took 4 approximately every 15 minutes with a full glass of any clear liquid I wanted (water, apple juice, white grape juice, 7-up etc). Then just had to keep drinking lots of clear liquids till colon was clear. It worked like a charm, no nausea and had an excellent result. I would definitely go that route again if I had to. I will never drink the nasty liquid stuff. For what its worth.....Jrose

i had the test done today and all went ok... i had a horriable pain with nausea for about 15 minutes and the doctor said it could have been narrowing of the intestine as it was in the same place as i have my abdominal pain she said its prob where they think the chrons is... she said that if i dont see the camera in my poo in one day then i will have to have it removed im really scared of having to have it removed has this experience happened to anyone? please write back so hopefully i can calm down thanks everyone
