ive recently had a tooth out (left top) and wow it was a big 1,
when it was out they said there was a little abscess forming but that will be out now to. well i was very silly and as it hurt so much i started drinking through a straw to prevent any liquid touching it. the nhs didn't advise to not use a straw but i didn't ask either. so i now developed whats called 'dry socket'.
so i went back and the dentist had but some antibiotic into the gum to clear the infection and also like stuffed it with cotton (cant be sure of the correct term)
and was told that the medicine they used will last for 3-4 days.
if the pain persists go back.
the pain has gone but it still feels quite uncomfortable
What i need to know is will my gum push out the temporary clot they put in.
Also is there anything else i should be doing to help things?
Thanks in advance
