Usually itching is caused by a yeast infection. Or it could be caused by irritation to that area. If it doesn't go away or gets worse I would get some type of yeast infection treatment or go to your OBGYN.

PH Balance problem? What would cause that? Will it go away on its own if it is that? Today isn't bad at all. I itched a little bit this morning but nothing since (knock on wood) It just comes and goes I don't know what to think about it or if I should even think about it you know? Thanks to everyone who has replied!!

it could be your body changing or just as simple as too much sugar in your diet

I don't suggest this often but you could try a one time medicated douche. It might do the trick. It oculd just be an irritation from soap or heaven only knows what.

Ok question. I am 20 days since last period. Can it be caused from PH balance or something to do with this time of the month? Is this a common thing I wonder?

Body changing as in 1 week before a period is due? Wow...too much sugar? I do eat a lot of it but I had no idea that sugar could be the cause of that! How can I get rid of the itching if it's just caused by too much sugar? I know don't eat as much but if I cut back, will it go away on it's own, or do I need medication now?

I had mild itching in the past due to chafing from sex. I would just get a little irritated and as it healed, it would itch. Sometimes I would get some dryness from the discomfort too. Sounds weird, but putting a tiny bit of lube on the irritated areas made it go away completely. Just a tiny, tiny bit. I worried I was getting a yeast infection but never got any other symptoms and it stopped and hasn't happened since.

I also had this happening from the use of tampons. I'm on the pill and my period is pretty light, so regular tampons (and even light flow kind) were sometimes too absorbent and would cause dryness during that time and itching afterwards. The lubricant helped again!

Many women get a very mild yeast infection right before their periods. If it is a mild, hormone related yeast it may resolve itself. I usually get this several days to a week before my period. Don't have to treat it as it always goes away after my period starts. If you are suffering with this most of the month you may need to just go ahead and get it checked out. At least to get a diagnosis so you'll be sure you know what it is (yeast, bacterial, STD) and how to treat it in the future.

You should try to limit your sugar and maybe start eating a small yogurt everyday to help get your PH levels normalized. Also, do you use anything like Summer's Eve? This can upset your PH levels and give you an infection as well. Definitely soaps can cause irritation as well.
