Hello world ;-) I am going to the dentist tomorrow and I am nervous. I am taking 5 mg of valium twice a day the last two days and will be taking 10 mg before bed and 10 mg when I wake up, plus I will be getting laughing gas at the appointment tomorrow at noon. I must say, the 5 mg of valium doesn't really do much for me. I am still nervous about tomorrow, perhaps a little relaxed at most.

I have a problem with needles and drills going anywhere near my mouth. I have neglected being treated for over 5 years now, but no major infections as of yet. But tomorrow is that BIG day for myself :-) Kind've scared, you know? I barely made it into my initial exam last week.

So, I will have to let you know how this goes for me. They call this oral sedation, but I really don't think the valium is going to do much for me as much as the gas will. I hope everything goes well...... ta ta!

Hi! I hope all goes well tomorrow! My husband has the same problem as you and he neglected going to the dentist for about 6 years because he was scared. They did not give him valium before but they did give him nitrous when he arrived and it helped TREMENDOUSLY! Ask for it!!!! :)

Thanks for your encouragement. I went there on 20 mg of valium and it didn't do much and neither did the nitrous, but it did help some. The dentist said he's never had somebody under so much sedation and it not affect them very much. He said I must naturally have a lot of adrenaline in my body.

Anyways, got through the procedure for my left side and all that is left is my right side and a small appointment after that.
