I've had constant lower left jaw pain following dental work 1 year ago. I've seen several dr's and all looks good. I saw an oral surgeon today and he is suggesting extracting #19 a lower left molar since it's sensitive but looks good. I'm also in the middle of an issue with major occlusion caused by a recent bite adjustment. I know #19 tooth is the "stabilizing" tooth needed for the left side so I''ve requested a Galen bone scan to determine is there is a problem with the bone. Another oral surgeon did not want to extract any teeth without identifying a problem. In the event the tooth wasn't the issue & the swelling persists than we won't be able to perform an implant and now I've lost my stabilizing tooth on the left. Any thoughts, anyone?
