I am a 64 year old man and for last 10-15 years have been getting headaches behind the right eyeball area. It begins very subtely but gradually increases in pain. It accures about once a month or so. I have tried several different ovc pain meds but the only one that seems to help if taken early is excedrin migrane. It usually lasts 24-36 hours once it gets ahold of me and nothing suchas sleeping, seems to help. Getting back to work and getting my mind off from it does more good than anything. Any ideas of cause or treatment options or even better prevention. I can't over the years really link it to any one thing. Stess or tension definitely can add to or help get it started. All blood tests seem to be normal. They sometimes come some in clusters such as I will just get over one and a day or two later get another for a time or two then not another for month or so.
