I had to call into work today which is something i hate doing. My boyfriend and I cleaned our rent house last night to get it ready for the new tenant because we couldn't find a maid to do it on short notice. I took a Darvoset before I started cleaning and it fooled me into thinking I wasn't overdoing it. Then we had a terrible thunder storm last night and I guess the combo has left me to my couch with lots of pillows and my heating pad. I hope my boss isn't mad, but I just can't do it today. Thanks for letting me vent.;)

Oh, i know all three feelings. Masking the pain with painkillers, overdoing it, having to call in work when i felt there was just no way i was going to be productive and hurting in front of my co-workers. And worrying, well not if they were going to be mad but there always comes a certain guilt when i called in. I always hated calling in for some unexplained reason. Well dont worry about it too much, it happens, i just hope you get to feeling better soon. Rest up today and take care of yourself. Being sick is just part of life sometimes, stinks we worry about it but i guess thats only normal. I'm sending someone to sit with you today...........

I am sorry you are feeling so terrible. Please keep us posted as to how you are feeling this evening. I, know how you are feeling, and I don't have the guilt of calling into work, I have the guilt of other things, like spending money on dr appt., medications, not being able to take care of the house etc. I know what guilt is and I hate it. I hope you left the guilt at the door when you called into work, and did not worry about it at all for the rest of the day.

I hope you took good care of yourself today, even though I am just checking in, I will be thinking of you and you are in my prayers this evening.

I am sorry that you are down for the count, I know I can really relate. I too always overdo and then pay for it. I just can not get it in my head that I can not do what I used to do. One of my docs actually told me that "work for you is a 4 letter word" I kept on trying to go back. I even did after getting my ss disability approved. They only give a 9 month trial work period in your lifetime before they will boot you off. I have used all of the 9 months and not consecutive but never was able to stay long . That the sad part of the fms
you never know what tomorrow is going to bring. I do not fit into their neat little packages of diagnosis , so they are always testing for more stuff. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

Today is better. Thank you for your concern and encouragement. I can sit upright and move my neck which is a lot better than yesterday. I'm taking it easy at work and sitting at my desk as much as I can; however I'm still counting down the hours until 4:30! Today will be good because I made a massage appointment for after work. Tomorrow I'm trying acupuncture for the first time and Saturday I'm getting a pedicure:) ! Maybe all this indulgence will help me feel better.

I hate that I count down the hours until I can leave work and wish it were the weekend so I could rest. These thoughts are becoming a daily ordeal for me. Maybe one day I can work part-time...I think that would help me a lot.

Yay (how do you spell that???) Sherryrenee for getting all the help scheduled. Just having someone help you fight back this bully with a few nice feelings is bound to help this week! Glad you're better today; hope the appointments get you back on the other side of not having to wait for that tick tock! Take care!

sherryrenee,

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better! The massage will probably help a lot. It will releave some of that stress.

Don't you hate that when you take a day off because you're sick but, you're affraid that the boss will be mad. You end up feeling guilty all day long for nothing. Then you get these other people who take days off because it's nice outside and you know they're not sick... (sorry that happened to me before.... just venting a little bit.)

Anyways I am glad you're feeling a little better..
