I have suffered constant GB symptoms since Oct 07. I've had USound with no detection of stones, I've had a HIDA scan with infraction # at 96%, I've had upper GI with no detection of any trouble, have lost 20 lbs from living off of ramen noodles and crackers, and finally saw the surgeon last week and he's not 100% convinced it's gallbladder..What??? Of course it is...but it's a diseased overactive gallbladder without stones..period. I sat in the room begging him to take my GB out, but instead he want's to send me for a CT to look around at the liver, GB and pancreas. Ok I say, lets do it. As of last saturday, the heavyness and knawing pain where by gallbladder is located has all but left.I always thought my ribs were hanging over the top of my GB. I am still having right shoulder pain, but just enough that 2 tylenols help perfectly for. Amazing? Maybe, unless it's totally quit or just building up for that attack. How can it go from 100% relentless pain to nothing. Ate BBQ with onions and Jalepenos today..mmmmm..no problems, maybe just a tug there but THATS IT! Here's the 50 million $ question. Should I have it out now? What's the chances it will explode and cause pain and more suffering a few months/years down the road? And what's up with this GB thing anyway?
