View Full Version : need a mild facial cleanser

I was wondering if anyone knows of a mild cleanser I can use to wash my face. The product I was using that worked for me they don't make anymore.
My problem is that I break out easy even with products that say they are for sensitive skin. Like Neutrogena's Extra Gentle Cleanser. I use it one or two times and I break out with several tiny pimples on my face. My face also turns red easy. Also, stuff that has a fragrance probably is too much for my skin. Any ideas would be welcome.... Thanks!

Everyone tells me "Cetaphil" or the generic version. No scent or dyes, not greasy; non drying...

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. It's for sensitive skin. I have Cetaphil moisturizing lotion which is fragrance free so the cleanser probably is too.

I break out from Cetaphil because it contains glycerin in it.

I use AVeeno Baby Wash on my face. I have used this for years and haven't had any issues with it.

I use Cetaphil face cleanser for sensitive skin twice and day and love it. It doesn't have any smell (which kind of bums me out) but it doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. It's not too expensive so you can buy it and try it without feeling guilty :)

I use Neutrogena foaming gentle wash, I have combo skin, it has a smell, but so far no irritation from it.

It's a bit on the expensive side, but I like DHC deep oil cleanser. A little goes a long way. I order it online. You put it on a dry face and rinse off. It rinses clean. No oil residue and skin feels soft. It's not irritating. I have combination skin that is sensitive. It does a good job getting make up off. Cetaphil is also very nice if you're looking for something cheaper.
