Hi all,
I had a LEEP procedure 2 1/2 weeks ago. It was done in the doctor's office with no anaesthesia. While not the most comfortable procedure in the world, I didn't find it exceptionally painful by any means. After the LEEP I had some cramping and light bleeding for 2 days. 2 advil the day of the procedure eliminated the pain, and I have had no pain since. I had a heavy, clear, not so nice smelling discharge for the first two weeks, and it actually dissipated 2 days ago. I've had no pain or bleeding. My doctor said I had CIN III, but they removed only about 1/6 of the cervix, and the results looked clean, and she feels confident she got it all. She told me 3-4 weeks before sexual intercourse. So here's my question, what can I expect with sex after a leep. I began dating a man that I really adore 3 months ago. We have not had sex at this point, and he is not aware that I had a LEEP. I'm actually a bit nervous to tell him and things are progressing to the point that we both want to take it to the next level and have sex. We are planning to spend the weekend away next weekend (which will be not quite 4 weeks since the Leep). I'm very nervous about what I can expect, clearly adding to the usual first time jitters. For those of you who have experienced this. was sex painful, did you bleed? Keeping in mind my experience so far, what if any light can be shed on this?
Thanks!
