Anyone have in thoughts on this type of headache or pain?
When I turn my neck side to side, or bend it forward or backward, there is pain. It often runs up into my head causing it to hurt. Now don't tell me if
it hurts to move my head, then don't move my head.
I have had a MRI, been to a spine specialist, and then to pain management for injection. To sum it up one tells me the canal is narrowing from which the nerves run around C-2,3,4,5, but no surgery is recommended at this time. The sides of my head, and to sometimes the top of my head hurts. Advil usually helps tame the pain. So, any thoughts on this type of pain. Sure would like to kick it in the but once and for all.

I have the same problems amd pain with my neck. My head aches are into the back of my head (occiput) and up into my temples. It is there 24/7.
C-4,5, 6 have arthritic changes.
I have Percocet to take for it but it dulls me completely.I also don't like to take it too often because I do not want to become dependat on it.
Do you have pain in the area that I have also?

Pain does at times goes into the temple area, but mostly confined to back of the head. It seems at times to run around to the ears which then ache. Sure ready to find something that will end this constant pain, besides taking meds.

Did the injections help and what did they inject?
I had depo medrol (a cortisone) injections that seemed to help only till the freezing came out and maybe a day.
I attended a 6 week session at a Chronic Pain Center .We learned stretches
and were given individual exercise plans. Each week there were information sessions on managing stress, anatomy, nutrition, medications etc.
I still though have pain every day plus the headaches go on into the night. They seem to not stop 24/7. If I take a Percocet it will help some. Tylenol Extra strenght does little to help.
How frequent are your headaches and how long do they last?

There are days I am headache free, but I find these are more the exceptions. When I turn my neck a certain way it triggers pain which stays for a while. At times the pain feels like pressure, but always it seems just under the skin.
The injection I had helped for about two weeks. A friend told me she had to have two before she gained relief. Maybe I will try again.
