I have a 4 weeks old, he is taking 4 ounces and there are some nights he wants a bottle just an hoyr and a half after feeding him, i try pacifiers but nothing works and he crys until he ges it, then there are other times he'll east 4 ounces here, 2 ounces there, i feel like i do nothing but feed all day. but some days he his normal eating every 3-4 hours...could he not be feeling well? his nose has been clogged alot and i got a big green thing out of his nose yesterday, maybe he is eating for comfort? any advice? he did really good last night though

He's probably going through a growth spurt which would explain why he's wanting to eat more often. Don't hesitate to feed him when he's hungry. Four weeks is too young to deny feeding at night, he's still too young for comfort feedings, so it's safe to say that he actually is hungry. Babies this age only eat when they're hungry, so you can't overfeed him. Just follow his cues and he'll slow down soon when he's done with his spurt. :)

I feel the same way. Taylor is 5 wks old and we have yet to get her on a pattern. She eats about 3.5 ounces at each feeding, but she typically eats every 2 hrs, but at night she may go as long as 6 hrs...When she eats after 2 hrs, Im not even sure she is hungry, I just know that a bottle is all that will calm her down and she gets so worked up...the Dr said to just feed her anytime she starts screaming. I definitely feel like all I do is feed her!
