have just had a visit to an ENT Department in the UK.
Had the camera up my nose, etc.
I said to the Dr that I have had some vision issues, like someone poked me in the eye and you get that black blob in front of your vision also, when the pressure is bad I feel as if I have lost the vision in the middle of my nose.
I have read on various sinus web sites that you can get blurred vision and temp vision loss. Yet the ENT Dr said sinus does not affect vision in that way. So Now I'm worried even more as something has gone on with my eye and its not right and as my other one is lazy I'm doomed to spend the rest of my life not being able to see properly
Been referred for a Ct scan but that is going to take 3 weeks.

Has anyone on here had vision probs with sinus issues.
Thank you

You were previously (in another thread) worried about optic neuritis and that is presumably one of the things they will look at with the CT scan (not the best way though). There are other things that could cause the black blob effect but first, there is a simple test that you can do for yourself. You need to look at an Amsler grid to check for a scotoma - a grey/black blob in your visual field.
You can find Amsler grids on several sites so just do a search.
If you can print the grid at about 4 inches square, that will be best. Cover the unaffected eye, look at the spot in the centre of the grid and, without moving your eyes, see if there is a blob obscuring a part of the grid. If there is, you need to see an ophthalmologist asap to find out what is causing the problem.
