Hi I have been on Oxycottin 40 mg for almost a year now plus vicadin. I saw my nerosurgeon and told him the meds are not holding my pain level. He switched me from the oxy to Opana ED 20 mg. Has anyone taken this medication before, what are your experiences with it? Did it control your pain any better? I just starting taking it so I haven't noticed any change yet, still in extreme pain.
For those of you not familar with my story I've had 3 back surgeries, the major one an ALIF removing L4 L5, L5 S1 and replacing with titanium cages and fusion done in June 07, since then I have been in more pain than pre surgery. I can't do anything, the pain is so bad 24/7
Any feedback would be appreciated....thanks!

I took it, but at a higher dose. I had to stop though because of the problems with nausea. I have read good things about it, hang in there, it may just be that you have to be titrated up to a dosage that can handle your pain.
