hi, i plan to go off bc in about 2 months because of the lack of sex drive i have now and i was wondering how long should i expect to wait for it to come back. I have been on birth control for about 5 years now.

I was on the pill for over 15 years and it took over a year for it to come back after I quit. And it wasn't like all the sudden I realized it was back. I mean, I had to help it along a lot, too. You have to make sure that you're paying attention to how you're feeling, because it's really a subtle change - and for women who have gone without a labido for a long time, it's almost hard to realize that it's sort of making a reappearance.

I mean, you should try to encourage yourself to feel like you have a sex drive again. Otherwise it might take a lot longer, if at all.... I've found that especially on these boards that a lot of women think it's gone permanently, but in reality they have just forgotten what it felt like to have a sex drive, so they don't recognize when it starts coming back.

Just pay attention to how you're feeling and eventually you'll probably notice you actually start thinking about having sex again and you'll want it again.

Well i cant wait for it to come back again :-) I cant take it anymore and neither can my boyfriend. Its hard on a relationship when he thinks i dont love him because i dont even want to be touched at all. I mean i can see why he thinks that, but its not true.
