im 24, ive been on otc-lo for almost a year.. 11 mo. and this month, i was so stressed at home/work, then i got the flu, and i lost 7 lbs.. and im finally comming down from the stress.. problem is.. im on fridays placebo pill.. and i still have no period.

im flipping out. i dont have any pregnancy symptoms at all. and i have the normal period feeling, like light cramps, like i had the first 10 months when i knew it was comming.. and thursday i had pink so i thought i started my period. but it went away, came back this morning, and went away again.

my friend at work is on the same pill and has been for years. and shes telling me not to worry, but im scared to death.. she asked me all kinds of questions about how i was feeling. and she said nothing comes close 2 being pregnant.

i havent missed a pill, been on any anti-boitic.i barely even had sex this month! im very stern about taking my pill on time everyday. i dont know whats up with my system..

all my friends are telling me to relax and itll come.. but i got nothing down there! is it possible to miss a period on the pill but not be pregnant?

im petrfied and im trying to relax.. but im really scared. anyones help is well accepted.. thank you.

Back in July I was sick for the entire month. I was on a different antibiotic it seemed like every other week. I am on OTC-LO and didn't get my period when I was supposed to.

Stress can also be playing a part in your period being late.

If you are really concerned I would see your doctor, but also try relaxing and see what happens

Hope this helps

thank you so much. i am now relaxing, i took 3 days off work, so i can have the weekend to de-stress.. i seem to be starting to bleed a little bit. so im hoping it'll be my period. i woke up this morning with that sinking feeling in my stomach. and im like " oh man today is the day" so lets hope so. thanks for relating to a smiliar situation. i really appreciate it. i like knowing im not alone. :)

It's definitely possible to skip a period on the pill and not be pregnant, especially if your body has been under stress, which yours has. It's common enough that my pills don't even recommend buying a pregnancy test until you've missed two periods!

wow thats crazy! i was reading the packet that came with my otc-lo and it said it is possible to miss a period and not be pregnant, but to let your dr. know. and if another period is missed to take the pregnancy test... i have my yearly gyno next month.. im hoping i'll have another period before that.. or at least hoping this one comes within the next few days.... its weird not having one when i was so used to the routene.. i guess that shows how much stress i was under :( not good.

I did not get a period this month and so I went out on the internet to see if this was something I should worry about. I read in more than one place that not getting a period while on the pill is not a concern if it happens once or twice in a row. If it happens a third month, we might want to go to the doctor to be checked out.

This satisfied me for now. Since I am anemic and being treated for anemia, maybe I needed that blood this month. (joke)
