its normal to freak out, but remember herpes is not a death sentence youm can live a very normal life once your educated about it you realise its very common and not aa big deeal.

Yeah, I felt the same way when I got HPV but came to realize its not a huge deal.

If a guy you end up dating really likes you, it won't scare him off.

I'm currently dating someone with herpes. It didn't scare me off or anything when she told me. She takes Valtrex and we use condoms so hopefully I wont get it, but if I do... well, it won't be the end of the world. And yes I know, condoms aren't completely effective against it.

Thats what happended to me I have been dating my boyfirend for a year and eh had it and I still decided it was worth the risk unfortunetly I got it and it was devistating I am pretty young only 19, but I figure he was honest with me and I loved him so for me it was worth it.
