hello all...

I have a question for you all. My sister gave me a couple of articles to read about D-Ribose that she found. In those articles it mentions that D-Ribose can boost energy levels in FMS sufferers by 45% in just three weeks.

My question is: Have any of you ever tried D-Ribose or even heard of it? If you have tried it, what were your results?

I have a doc appointment on Tuesday and I am going to bring the articles to her to discuss, but I thought I would try to get some info from people who have actually tried it or heard of someone who has tried it.

**Oh...forgot to mention that D-Ribose is a naturally occuring simple sugar, so it is like a supplement, and not a prescription medication. It can be ordered online and I think you can get it at health food stores too.**

Gaudet, haven't really heard anything about this. I don't do well with sugar, it really sends me into a flare. Don't know about the naturally occurring sugar part. Anyway if you get any good info from your doc let us know please.

Hi Gaudet, yes I take D-Risbose and yes it really does help with energy. it is recommended to take 5 grams (5000 ml) 3 times a day-it is totally different from other sugars that are burned by the body as fuel. the body uses risbose for making energy molecules that power the heart, muscles, brain and every other tissue in the body. when the cells and tissues become energy starved risbose will recover that energy.

The most difficult thing for me is remembering to take it because it really does help and I really feel it when I don't take it. I also take a vitamin drink that contains more than 50 key nutrients along with a multi-B included in the pkg. The drink tastes great with a protien shake or just mixed with water. Besides the multi B I give myself B12 injections when I feel my energy burn-out and my legs hurt.

In this vitamin product is the nutrient malic acid with magnesium which is meant to help with fibro and cf. I have it all I just need to take it-it does make a difference. D-Risbose has really no flavor and mixes well with water.
