I am wondering what test(s) your drs. use to test to see if your florinef dosages are correct. My family dr. just tested aldosterone levels (very low). My endo says that doesn't mean anything. I know that taking the florinef suppresses the production of aldosterone, but one would think your levels would be at least in the low normal range; otherwise, what's the point in taking the florinef at all? I still have lots of the same symptoms that I had before starting on the prednisone and florinef, so I would REALLY like to get the dosages on the right track!
Thanks for your help!

How long have you been on the florinef, and why did they put you on it?
Are you also on cortef? These two drugs are almost always used together to treat addisons or adrenal insuffiency.
If you are not on cortef too, that may be part of the problem.

I was put on prednisone (used to replace the cortisol) and florinef a year ago for Addison's disease. I had some side effects so my prednisone dosage was adjusted about 6 months ago. I am hoping to get my dosages at a better level so I can get rid of the fatigue, balance problems, etc. that I still have.

I did not have good luck at all with pregazone. Have you ever tried the cortef?
If not, you may have a lot of success with it.
I would ask your doctor and find out.
Good Luck

Could anyone else give me an idea of which tests their doctors use to check Florinef dosages?

I get tested for renin, potassium and sodium for my florinef dosage.
