thanks for reading, thias is a question for a friend who doesnt know where to get anwers. Firstly she has had stomach problems reguarding food allergies and intolerances which she takes enymes at meal times. Now however she has begun to feel breathless after eating, she has aked her doc and he has basically told her its in her head and down to stress. She feels very let down that he wont take her for real. She is a very healthy eater and non smoker. She finds also that she has got mucus in her throat but is able to get it out. Could this all be related to her stomach problems or some sort of reflux. Any advice or suggestions welcome.

I would suggest your friend hire a new doctor that WILL listen to her or him.
after all..... we hire the doctors and pay for their services. There has to be another doctor they can go to.
another thing I would suggest is that your freind write down exactly when they feel the symtom come on and what foods are they eating at the time and how much. keep a daily journal and bring it to the appointment.
also, maybe she or he can get a procedure done where they scope the patients inside of thier throat all the way down. one is done by numbing the nostrils and back of the throat and they can look into the upper part of the throat for any growths or blockage. then there's an upper gastro test where they put a tube into the patients throat and into their stomach to see what's going on.
they can either numb the patients throat and give them a relaxant or they can opt to be put out by a medication that's light acting and not like anesthesia at all. it's rather quick and easy too. i had it done so I know.
I had procedures performed and I was awake.

let us know what happens. good luck.
