View Full Version : Had a sharp pain on right side of my head, and now feeling weird things?

Last week, I felt an unusual pain on the top right side of my head. It felt so sharp and deep like if it was my brain hurting on that side. It only lasted about 10 seconds though. Ever since then, I been feeling kind of tensed on that side and been feeling tightness and my forehead, nose, like pushed upon or so. For the most part, I feel like if the right side of my head is being pressured a little. Two days ago, I went to see my primary doctor and told her about the conditions and she told me that "it is only migraine, do not think its something worst than that." Right there I felt more relieved after that response. So, she prescribed me naproxen, which I'm drinking 2 times a day.

My concern is, is this really just an ongoing migraine? Is it normal that it can last a couple of days? Once again, that sharp pain that I felt last time was just once, and after that, I been feeling weird sensations from tickling, little bit of pressure, small headache, etc on the right side of my head.

Is this serious or is it just a typical migraine? Please let me know, thanks.

It sounds to me like the migraine I got a few weeks ago.

The only difference was that I woke up tense on my right side that day, and then developed the headache. I went to the doctor, and he mentioned something about a condition that would cause muscles to spasm and could cause the discomfort in that side of your head.

I hope you're feeling better now though. It seems typical, I've only had a couple of migraines in my life, and it doesn't seem like it is too serious. Does the Naproxen help you? You're lucky if it does, because it didn't for me. I had to get an injection of Torodol to help with my migraine.

Keep us posted, okay? I hope you start to feel better soon!
