I don't know if I can post this since it isn't technically a beauty or cosmetic question-but, I will try anyway.
I really have liked Dooney and Bourke for some time. I have my eye on a Coach bag and I am kinda weird about "mixing" brands. So, as odd as this question may be....I have a Dooney wallet, can I use that with a Coach bag? I know, sounds stupid and if I want to mix brands I can do what I want, but is there any fashion rule about this?? thanks!

I have a D&G bag and a Burberry wallet. My opinion is that if you know anyone who would care enough to bring it up to you they probably are not your real friends. Buy and wear whayt you like. To heck with what others think.

Hehe this is definitely okay! The big fashion no-no I hear about most is mixing black and brown, but even some people still do this! I just wouldn't wear brown dress shoes with nice black slacks or something or it just looks tacky to me. Of course if I'm in a rush and my black bag is ready to go and I'm wearing a bit of brown, I wouldn't freak out over it! I have a black Isaac Mizrahi wallet from Target and use it with ALL of my purses! It's inside anyway and not visible ;).

:) Well, the dooney wallet goes very well with the coach bag-and I got that bag for such a deal! I know about that black and brown thing. I have a black bag and a brown bag for when I go out (cheapo bags). I have a problem with some blue shirt with blue jeans, and navy with black and so forth. Anyway, anyone notice the tight roll jean coming back?? saw it in a magazine, wasn't cool when I did that in Junior high, don't know why they think it is cool now!! :D

I wouldn't mix them. The fashion police might arrest you!!!
J/K. Do your own thing.

I have a burberry wallet and that's it! It goes in all my purses. For me it's bad enough to keep changing purses but I can't imagine changing a wallet all the time! I have soooo much in it!

I keep one purse pretty much at one time. The only time I may switch to one of my other two is if I am going "out" and it could get something poured on it. THen I take the others. This is now my good bag and I hope to have it for a long time!

Actually there is a page in the newest Glamour mag that tells how to mix brown with black. It's now acceptable! I really don't care what the fashionistas say about my handbag choices. Handbags are very personal which is why I never let anyone else choose one for me. My favorite is a D&G and I have a Coach wallet too that I love. I just pop the wallet into whatever bag I'm carrying though. I've found that no one cares how they get my money as long as they get it! LOL

Gosh I didn't know it was unexceptable at one time to mix brown and black. It's one of my fav combinations in colors other than black and orange for halloween! My fav dog is black and brown, my fav shoes are black with brown and my fav purse is black and brown, I've been a "fashion NO NO all these years? LOL!

oh, I think it all depends on how you do it. When I lived in San Diego I saw a girl wearing a black tshirt, jeans and brown flip flops-it looked good, but the other way around, not so much. So odd. I think so much of it also depends on the color of brown, or blue (like blue and black, okay, navy and black, not really) (same goes with blue jeans and blue/purple shirts. the right color and it works)
As long as we don't do the french roll or tight roll thing again (as I DID see it in a mag) I think we'll be okay!
