I only experienced the "tingles," as I call them, when I was taking Topamax. It would cause that "gone to sleep" feeling in my feet and hands, sometimes to the point of downright pain. But I don't think I've had it since I've been off of the Top.
As fas as the fog, it just depends on the quality of my sleep, and whether I've pushed myself too far physically. If I don't sleep well, I am usually pretty out of it the next day. And, if I try to take on some physical task that is just too much for me, I am toast for days afterwards. You'd think I would learn from these experiences, but I guess I keep hoping my body will keep up with my will. So far, no go.
Now that I also have tendonitis and a pinched nerve, I am taking Lyrica and Celebrex, in addition to Flexeril, Mirapex (for RLS), and Ambien CR (at night, of course), Promethazine (generic Phenergan--to help with insomnia), and an occasional Xanax when sleep really eludes me. I experience the "fog" much more frequently lately, but I suspect the Lyrica is the culprit as much as the FM. Also, if I haven't had a chance to "sleep off" the medicines I take, I am just totally out of it for at least a day.
Do you take anything else that could possibly be causing the sensation? What about the fog--any meds that could be contributing to your daze? How is your sleep? How well are you eating? I have reacted badly to sugar, and try to avoid it now (tho I love, love, love it).
Right now, as I type, I am aching badly, and I was not active today or yesterday. I went to two outdoor baseball games, one Friday night and one Saturday night, and it got very cold once the sun set. I think that may be why I am suffering even more than usual.
Do you keep a diary of your activity, pain, sleep, etc.? You can sometimes track things that might not be obvious in the moment but appear over time. It helped me!
Hope you feel better soon and perhaps figure out ways to reduce the fog and "tingles!"
Blessings,
TexMom
