I am just wondering if anyone of you has/d something similar and maybe if you know something to ease or solve it.

I have never worn contacts and still two years ago I got more and more problems with (sun)light. Just a bit irritates my eyes, makes them feel like wind is blowing on them/dry and the only thing that helps is to close them or sit in the dark. Because my vision is bad and because I have GPC (at least the optician told me today) and hay fever I can't wear contacts, but there are about no sunglasses that cover my eyes completely and the ones that do are heavy and give me a headache. Duratears eyedrops for dry eyes don't help.

Now last year I went to the eye doctor, he didn't find anything except that he said my eyelids should be cleaned better because that might give the irritation. That didn't help anything and I also couldn't imagine that being the cause of that much trouble. He didn't look at the inner eyelids so no wonder he didn't find the conjunctivitis.

Now the opitician today also said hay fever can have part in it. I think it may be correlated or linked but it's a different thing for sure because I can have the photophobia irritation but not hay fever or the itchy hay fever irritation without the photophobia.

I made an appointment with a special eye clinic 1,5 hour drive from here, so hopefully they will give me more clarity on the issue, but in between I was also wondering if you have more experience with this?

I especially wonder how it can be possible that I have such a severe form of GPC without ever having worn contact lenses. (and the photophobia + hay fever isn't bothering me yet, so imagine what it must look like when it does, and it's coming cause winter is leaving here)
