hi i posted here a while ago i have put my life on hold for 3 months i was sure i had contracted hiv.i was convinced.2 weeks after having unprotected sex against my will i had the worst fever shakes night sweats and swolen lyphnodes i needed antibiotics for it then i had a dry cough for a while,so after reading comments here i decided to get tested even though i was terrified i just had to know.
today i got my results and im negative i cant begin to you all how relieved i am!!
i also would urge anyone with doubts to just go for it and get tested it is scary but at least you will know.i think most people have a fear of the unknown but since ive been reading and obsessing about it ive learnt a lot and one of those things are this infection is not a death sentance its liveable with.
a very close person to me died in october from non-hodkins lymphoma after he was diagnosed we found out he was hiv positive and got the cancer as a result of it.he suspected he had it but was to afraid of getting tested as a result he died prematurly.
so again i really urge people who read this get tested if you suspect you might have it whatever the results!!
