My boyfriend has been taking steroids a few months ago and has recently developed accute pain in his lower back and pain in his kidneys and occasional vomitting, what can I suggest and what should advise him to do? And is it serious? He has stopped taking steroids and has been clean since december but his pain doesnt seem to be disappearing and he has already been in hospital due to water around his lungs. If anyone could help, i would be grateful

Does he have spine issues? His back pain could be coming from the kidneys and not spine related, but you would need a doctor to properly diagnose him.

Why was he taking steroids and what kind was he taking? You mentioned abuse. Tell us more please.

Do you mean anabolic steroids like bodybuilders use? I only ask this b/c I know there are kidney problems/diseases that are actually treated w/ steroids, but those are actually synthetic glucocorticoids, not the same as the anabolic ones.....

The steroids he was using was for quick muscle gain, im not too sure of the brand name but I do know they were anabolic steroids and illegal in some countries because of some of the added chemicals within them, as well as steroids he took a healthy amount of creatine. But his back pain seems to have worsened and pressure near his kidneys. Thank you very much for your help

quickly by abuse I meant ...doubling the dosage suggested.
