how does hpv effect males and what does it do to them

well, not much. they can carry it and give it to others. the only thing that effects them directly is that they too can get warts. other than that, there isn't really a way to tell if a male has it. I believe there are tests, but from what I hear, they're not all that reliable in testing males.

It all depends on the strain. If he gets the wart-causing kind, then he'd get genital warts.
Or he could just be a carrier of the cervical cancer causing kind, so he'd be passing it on to his partners.
Or - and this is rare - he could end up getting penile or anal cancer. Or oral cancer. That last one's one the rise actually.
