I have all the classic signs of TMJD however there is this weird pulsating sensation that I feel in different parts of my head...it doesnt hurt but I can feel it, maybe its just a vein throbbing?? sometimes its behind my eyes and sometimes I can feel it in the back of my head, like I said the weird thing is that it doesnt hurt, i can actually feel my head moving,, usually my headaches are the worse when I am sitting up thats the only time I feel this weird sensation. I found ALOT of my headaches come from my upper back and shoulder stiffness, usually just mesaging them makes my headaches go away for some time. Unfortunatly being self-employed I dont have health insurance and I cant afford to get any so going to a doctor for me is out of the question, so I was wondering if any TMJD sufferers might also be having this weird "headache"

The pulsing is pretty common - I'm not sure whether its from an artery or vein or just a nerve but I have had it the sides of my head, behind my ears and eyes and on the left side of my neck. Its also fairly common with migraine sufferers which the newer headache meds try to address - instead of just treating the pain they work to affect blood flow by dialating the arteries - or something along those lines. Sorry you can not seek treatment for it at this time - do warm or cold compresses help?

I just wanted to throw in that I'm self-employed as well and lacking insurance so I feel your pain. I've actually been thinking about seeking out some insurance before going to the doctor on this, fearing the dreaded 'pre exisiting condition' thing.
But as I understand it, most TMJD things are not covered by insurance anyhow, correct?
