Sponsor norahsb 04-26-2008, 06:12 PM Hi MerryLee, One of the best exercises I have ever used for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is very simple. Just lay on your back on the floor with your arms straight out to the side (like Jesus on the cross). Keep your hands and fingers relaxed. Just lie there for as much time as you have and simply notice the sensations coming and going, moving around, etc. You will feel lots of different sensations, sometimes they will feel deep and sometimes superficial. They will move around. They can be in both arms (whether or not you have CTS there). Don't stress about anything while doing this. Try not to move around. Just relax and pay attention. I spent 45 minutes on this exercise the first time I did it and found great relief afterward. IF the sensations ever intensify to pain, move your arms to a lower position and continue as before. Very simple for anyone to do. All the best, Norahsb:angel: sandi2932 06-20-2008, 06:51 PM A friend at work told me her husband was given an exercise for his arms that helped so he never had to have surgery. While sitting down, and your arms down, turn your hands around so your palms are facing away from you. Press your fingers against the edge of a table a few times and hold a few seconds. Do this several times a day. Sandi |
