MY son is 13 years old.
April 1 he got up with pain in his right side.
We went to the dr who order blood work and a ct scan, Both came back normal. He told me to watch for a fever.
We never had a high feaver, a low one of 99.8
We went back to the dr on April 3, the pain was still there- the dr now said it was a bug and would be gone by the week end.
April 7- Pain still there, no better he now is very week. hard for him to stand for long periods of time. The dr now told me it was an ulcer. And put him on 25 mg of Zantact 2 times a day. And told me in 24 hours I would see a change.
Which I did not. We then made an appt with an GI dr. Who told us all the main test have been ran and has came back normal. So we have an upper endoscope (sp?) Set up for may.
Over view of systoms :
Pain on right side, mosty under his rib cage.
Tender to touch
He saids when he stands for to long he gets dizzy and feels week
Nausha feeling
pain is allways there.
If playing for more than 15 minutes the pain is real bad and has to stop.
Has burning in his throat down to his stomach.
I came here hopeing to get some help or leads what could be wrong with my son

Have you thought to also consult with a chiropractor? I have had some pains in my side and after many CAT scans, MRIs, bloodwork and so on, no one could provide an answer. I followed up with my chiropractor who did some manipulations and the pain was gone in a couple of days.
Continue to have the doctors test your son but find a good chiropractor. It would not hurt to have them take a look to see if the pain is muscular in nature or is tied in to some misalignment.

Try doing a search for GERD and see if your son has symptoms of this reflux syndrome. It's very treatable, but sometimes a little hard to diagnose in one so young. I'm glad you're sticking with it until you find the culprit. Hope they are able to figure out his problem real soon so he can be on the road to recovery!

Have they done a sonogram of his gallbladder. His symptoms sound like it could be gallbladder problem.
