I bought some earrings a few days ago and planned to pierce my own ears. Before I put them in I let a friend put them in his already pierced ears, to see how they'd look. He gave them back to me and then I let the earring sit in rubbing alcohol for about a half hour (thinking this would take care of all germs, diseases, whatever) before I put them in. Now, I'm not too worried. I've known him quite a few years. He doesn't take hard drugs, have sex with prostitutes or do anything else I would consider high risk. To my knowledge he isn't infected with hepatitis C. He has one tattoo, but it was in a very clean parlor, and I saw him get it. However, I am a little concerned. I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance.
